However, at Computer Gamers Factory there are no paintballs or airsoft pellets to buy and no paintball "wounds". All simulations are organized and the equipment technology eliminates cheating. Players shoot an invisible and harmless infrared beam similar to the one used in your TV remote control. Teams are assigned missions to complete, We have a variety of missions for every level player and unlike computer games, no mission ever plays the same twice. What are the Age Restrictions?
We like to think that there isn't an age restriction, but rather a size and maturity restriction. • Any child under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult on the field • Our "field" is over 10 acres and is NOT fenced in • The field is heavily wooded with some paths and trails, and is considered rough terrain • The smallest weapon weighs approx. 4 pounds - a child must have the strength and stamina to hold that weapon for 3 hours • The smallest weapon has a standard pistol grip - a child must be able to hold the weapon correctly and pull the trigger • Our weapons shoot accurately - a child must be able to hold the weapon at eye level and aim • We operate a public facility where young children who do not understand the concept of the game (i.e. shoot teammates, not follow game rules, etc) will be asked to leave the field • We reserve the right to ask any player to leave the field if we feel they are causing a danger to themselves, other players or the equipment • It is important for parents to realize that a child may be in the woods for between 5 and 45 minutes. Please ask yourself how your young child will react to being alone in the woods, in a strange place, seeing nothing but trees and rocks and hearing strange noises
What are the taggers?
The weapons are high-tech laser guns which use infrared light. Infrared is on the safe side of the visible spectrum.
Do you need Safety Equipment?
NO! Unlike paintball, no safety equipment is required! There are no projectiles, and the IR beam from the laser weapon is not harmful to the eyes (like your TV remote). We do suggest that you wear long pants and require sturdy shoes (no sandals).
